Select them on the D-Pad and fire them like you would with another gun.Ĭrouching behind a short wall gives you cover. Opening a salvage crate gives you another. You can only carry one type of explosives, but you only start out with one. Aim your weapon with L2 and fire with R2. Pressing the D-Pad lets you select which weapons that you want to use. When you select your weapons, the game has you select a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, an explosive, and some skills. Holding down on the Y/Triangle has your character perform a powerful melee attack on anyone in your way. You can sneak up on other players and take them out with a sneak attack. Pressing the Y/Triangle can trigger a melee attack. Use the Left Analog Stick to move around the wall. Look for craggy walls and press the X/Square button to attach your axe to the wall. Jumping against a flat surface and pressing the jump button again lets your character scramble up to a new location. Instead of scrambling, like in the main game, pressing B/Circle allows you to roll. Jumping is still used for clearing gaps or reaching ledges. You are harder to hit if you sprint in a zigzagging manner. Equiping the Second Wind skill can make your character sprint longer and reduces the recovery time. Holding down on the B/Circle button can make your character sprint for a limited amount of time. XP levels the player up, and unlocks new characters to buy and skills to equip. Salvage is for upgrading weapons and purchasing new character skins. Players will collect salvage and earn experience (XP). Each has unique areas and level specific traps. The combat can take place in the five regular maps: Beach, Chasm, Monastery, Shrine, and Underground, or players can battle in the DLC maps: Cliffs, Caves, Village, Shanty Town, Lost Fleet, Forest, Himko's Cradle, and Dogfight. As the Solarii, it's all about keeping the Survivors from completing their objective. Playing as the Survivors, you capture radio towers, gather medical supplies, or just kill the Solarii.
